Zach Groesbeck recently returned home to south Texas after living in Washington State, interning at a poetry press. On his morning walks to work, he had a number of brief encounters with deer and other creatures. He would’ve liked for these moments to have lasted longer. He is happy to be back in Texas, thrilled to see the bluebonnets in blossom. Professionally, he works as a full-time journeyman farrier. Find more of his work in The Cortland Review.
