ETR Welcomes New Incoming Associate Editor!

We are thrilled to welcome Emily Woodworth to the EcoTheo team! Emily grew up in Sisters, Oregon and writes fiction, essays, and screenplays. “As a descendent of the Karuk Tribe,” she writes, “my family instilled in me an ancestral respect for our lands. I grew up in the Deschutes National Forest near Sisters, OR. Here I’ve witnessed changing forest ecology each year as catastrophic fires have increasingly engulfed our immediate area, become aware of commercial threats to Oregon’s aquifers, and worried that Central Oregon’s dark skies, which are often taken for granted, may eventually be lost. Although conservation was important to me previously, living in such a beautiful natural environment on the precipice of losing itself has increased my own urgency around these issues. EcoTheo Review‘s ethics and aesthetics complement my own commitment to engage with ecologically and spiritually minded art. I’m thrilled to join this wonderful team on their mission to demonstrate the spiritual value of preserving and conserving our natural spaces!”
