Ian Williams

Of spirituality in his creative process, Ian writes, "Over the past couple of years, I've been working to treat poetry as a tool for reflection, interrogation, and for personal storytelling. Often, in my work, I find myself wrestling with the things that I have a hard time accepting or understanding, and so I think that these pieces end up being part poem, part prayer, and part plea. Through these poems, I am trying to write faith with authenticity and with genuine feeling, treating God as an active participant in my life and in the world, and not just a distant concept."
