Joanna Barszewska Marshall

Since her retirement as a Professor of English from the University of Puerto Rico, Joanna Barszewska Marshall returned to Missouri and began pursuing her artistic interests. With four other partners, she now owns a gallery that features the work of local and regional artists, Gallery 104 in Kirksville. She enjoys painting, making ceramics, and doing photography. The images reproduced here were taken on her farm in the winter and spring of 2019 and are part of a larger series titled “On Highway AA: Living With a Sense of Place.”
