Allison Seay

Allison Seay is the author of To See the Queen (Persea Books, 2013), which won the Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize. Her poems have appeared in Poetry, Prairie Schooner, Crazyhorse, The Southern Review, Meridian, Arts and Academe, and Image, among other journals. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Ruth Lilly Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Civitella Raineri Foundation. She worked for several years at UNC Greensboro, as assistant director of the MFA Program and associate editor of The Greensboro Review. A former writer in residence at University of Mary Washington and Collegiate School, Richmond, she is Associate for Religion and the Arts at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in Richmond, VA.
