What’s Wild About You

I'm wild about what's wild about you.

I'm wild, too.

You're our universe in verse; even your bones have special drones.

You can never be unsung.

I feel you touch and be touched, if not by stars, then by what they've become.

Vessels for all kinds of heat we're designed for full body contact.

Don't tell me the heavens have no scent; these perfumed pleasure palaces intoxicate.

We're so much more than hormones and pheromones; we make dust sweat and quake.

I relish you savoring every flavor; one tongue seems insufficient; short or long, we’re in deep.

Seven buds bloom shared worlds in infinite permutations: hot, cold, sweet, sour, salt, bitter, meat.

Libraries of memories collect in you and reflect in me, kaleidoscoping infinite multiverses.

We bring more to light by taking joy in sight.

It's not senseless to think other senses possess us; our guts are second nervous systems.

Bodies, minds, emotions are inseparable; not simple chemistry, they're complex synergy;

You and I are twice one hundred trillion tiny selves, experiencing one hundred million deaths reborn each minute.

We're multitudes. We shed and grow new bodies every seven years.

The cosmos gave us the gift of consciousness; we now give back.

Individuals and collectives, we are miraculous when we wonder.

I'm possible; you are your proof; together, we're more.

I love the life that lives in you, and you live in.

I'm wild about what's wild about you.

I'm wild, too.
