Payton H. Stantis
Payton H. Stantis is a writer, baker, river rat, and mom to a toddler, a tarantula, and two wild mutts in Pinson, Alabama. She serves as Vice President and docent for the Friends of Turkey Creek Nature Preserve, helps her husband run a local blacksmithing business, and works at a Waldorf school. Payton is dedicated to fostering a deep connection with nature in others. Her own writing frequently explores her personal journey of finding healing and being molded by the great outdoors.
When she isn't writing or juggling her various gigs, you can find her hiking, dabbling in community radio, reading, doing ceramics, tending to her flock of chickens and ducks, or paddling Alabama’s extensive, beautiful waterways with her crew.
