Tyler Mark Nelson

Tyler Mark Nelson is a writer, land artist, and ecotheologian who raises questions about humanity/animality/creaturehood and ecological contemplation in a climate-changed world. His work incorporates themes of radical amazement, lamentation & active hope, and transformative resistance. He is the recipient of the Harriet Jackson Ely Prize for Excellence and Promise in Theology. Tyler is completing an MDiv in Religion & Ecology from Yale Divinity School, and holds a BA in Theology from Whitworth University. Tyler grew up near the Mississippi River in Coon Rapids, MN. He and his wife now live in New Haven, CT.
